Interior Review of the 2025 Toyota Tacoma
The 2025 Toyota Tacoma features two cab configurations: the XtraCab has two doors and seating for two, with additional storage space behind the seats and the Double Cab has four doors and accommodates five people. Its rear seats fold down or flip up to expand cargo capacity. Both versions include storage compartments in the doors, a center console, and a shelf above the glovebox.
Certain trims offer a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The steering wheel has a tilt-and-telescoping function. Synthetic leather upholstery is available. In Double Cab models, rear outboard seats include LATCH anchors. The middle seat also has a tether anchor for child seats.

Toyota redesigned the Tacoma’s front this year, complete with new LED headlights. Some of the models come with a grille displaying “TOYOTA” lettering. Most trims use a stronger version of this engine, producing 317 lb-ft of torque on top of 278 horsepower. With the available six-speed manual on SR, TRD Sport, and TRD Off-Road Double Cab 4WD models, the engine produces 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque.
Rear-wheel drive comes standard on the base trim, while four-wheel drive is available across the lineup. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard on most models. The Tacoma can tow up to 6,500 pounds with the 278-horsepower engine and XtraCab configuration. The Double Cab models tow up to 6,400 pounds with the same engine. The SR trim also supports a payload of 1,500 pounds.
Performance features include a leaf-spring rear suspension on SR, SR5 XtraCab, and TRD PreRunner trims. Available upgrades include a TRD sport-tuned suspension, Bilstein shocks, FOX Internal Bypass shocks, and Old Man Emu shocks. Off-road options include an electronically controlled locking rear differential and a Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism.
